Le’Day Grant is the proud owner of MyKings IceCream Shop, a thriving local business that has been serving the community for over three years. Named after her son MyKing, the shop is a unique and welcoming place that serves top-of-the-line customer service and delicious ice cream and desserts. The shop’s mission is to help build the community one scoop at a time.

Although she does not hold a college degree, Le’Day has always had a natural talent for connecting with people and has built a reputation as a trusted and respected member of the community. After working in customer service for several years, Le’Day took on a second job as a teller for a bank while raising her first child. Despite her busy schedule, she never lost sight of her dream of owning her own business. 

In addition to serving up sweet treats and hosting fun activities like LIC AND PAINT, Le’Day is also passionate about giving back to her community by providing financial literacy education. Her job in banking has influenced her to want to teach youth and people of color about financial situations, including how to save money, open accounts, and maintain a good credit score. She hopes to provide resources to those who want to learn and understand how to save money and frequently offers classes at her shop. Her commitment to great service, optimism, and caring for others is evident in every aspect of her business.

Despite the challenges she has faced, Le’Day has remained focused on her goals and continues to build a successful business while raising four children. Her unique style and creative flavors have made MyKings Ice Cream Shop a local favorite, and her team’s welcoming attitude and signature greeting, “Welcome to MyKings,” make every customer feel like family.
